The Glitter Belt is a love letter to Appalachia—with a little extra sparkle.

The name is a play on the "Bible Belt," a region often defined by tradition, faith, and conservative values. But there's another story here, too. Queer people have always been part of these mountains and small towns. We've always been here, creating, loving, building careers, raising families, and finding joy—even when our stories weren't always told.

The Glitter Belt is where those stories belong.

This site is a collection of my life and the things that matter to me: blog posts, photography, videos, ideas, travel, work, community, and the everyday moments that make up a meaningful life. It's both personal and professional, rooted in southeastern Kentucky while embracing a much wider world.

I'm a gay Appalachian, and I don't believe those identities are at odds with one another. The Glitter Belt exists because home isn't defined by who tells your story—it's defined by the people who live it.
